Transition Town Kenmore

Transition Town Kenmore covers the Pullenvale Ward, stretching along the Brisbane river from Kenmore to Karana Downs and into the hills to Upper Brookfield.

The group celebrated its first birthday in July 09. Outcomes from the first year include a farmers market, solar HWS buying group, monthly educational meetings, talks to local groups, groundwork for community garden and a couple of gardening workshops

Our regular meetings are on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. 7:30pm, Uniting Church Hall 982 Moggill Rd Kenmore

All are welcome, see you there.

I never remember my green bags at the shops – they’re usually in the back of the car. I had an epiphany after the last meeting. Now I just ask the checkout person to pass all the items through and I just throw them back in the trolley. Then I pack them into green bags in the boot of the car. It makes it much quicker to get through the checkout and the kitchen doens’t fill with plastic bags.
